Rachel Morrison
occupational therapist and co-founder

Many moons ago, I was a successful account manager for a large, multinational corporation. One day during a yearly performance review, my manager asked me what my five year plan was at the company, and the question hit me like a tonne of bricks. At that moment I knew that my five year plan did not involve the company at all. I wanted to help people. So, after a lot of soul searching, I took a leap of faith and left a comfortable job to complete my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Since then, I have had the immense privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life in a variety of public and private sector settings. I have in-depth knowledge and experience with hospital rehabilitation and discharge planning, but I am most passionate about working with people in the community, where I have helped numerous people with physical, mental, and cognitive challenges to achieve their goals.  I am trained and certified in ergonomics and safe patient moving and handling, and continue to be involved with the University of Toronto as an educator and researcher. My approach is client-centred, and I believe in setting realistic, meaningful goals with clients, and actively working together to create and execute plans to achieve them.
